EVENT PHOTOS - Heritage Open Day 18th Sept 2022

It was an unexpectedly glorious late summer's day in the Bohemia Walled Garden when we opened our doors to the public to celebrate Heritage Open Day on Sunday 18th September. After 2 years of lockdown it was extra special to see so many people there enjoying the delights of our garden.

With a turn out of more than 170 (147 adults and 30 kids) including many first time visitors we managed to raise over £500 with £353 from refreshments including a great selection of delicious cakes and £153 from donations and the sale of our leaflets and Lesley's jams and chutneys.

Musical Entertainment was provided by Debbie Warren's Acappela choir 'Sea Tones' and the 'Harmony One' sea shanty group. Morris dancing kept us on our toes and Karen offered us an amazing gong bath experience.

It was such a successful event that it was hard to persuade people to leave at the end of the day when it came to clearing up - always a good sign. Maybe next time we should stay open a little longer and perhaps provide a visitors comments book to record some of the many positive comments and interest that the event generated.
